Week 3 - Relaxin' and Lovin'

HanzFanzLicul has had some problems getting onto the blog as she's in AsiaLand, so that's why all you see is me, hehe. But for a week that started quite averagely, it turned out to be quite a good one!

The first couple of days were spent just chin chillin at the home ranch. Feels so good just doing nothing 'cause I know I'll have a busy few years ahead of me :|
That being said... HBRIM IS GOING TO UNI! It was always the plan (hence the name of this blog) but offers came out on the 18th and it's confirmed!!

My offer is a place in the Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice and Behavioural Science combined degrees. A whole five and a half years of funfunfun! But I'll pop out with two degrees - YEH WOO!
Unless I get offered a place in Psychology in second round offers, which will be out in the next couple weeks!

Thursday was I think the first day I had left the house in a while.... It's probably a good thing I'm not taking a gap year otherwise come time to go to uni I would not know how to act like a normal person. My friend Mel and I went to an interview at the local paper for our acceptance into Uni! I'm pretty excited that heaps of the girls are going to Adelaide this/next year - sooooo keen! Will make leaving this place that much easier!

Had lunchy and catch up with Lozzy J on the Friday which was goooood! So many people already having their separate lives with so many stories to tell, crazy stuff!
Then the weekend was so goooood. Went to Goody's 21st and had an amazing night dancedancedancing to some sick tunes and running a muck in the rain! One to remember for sure!

Then the 22nd was my sissa's 14th birthday. She had a bunch of friends over so I got a sleep in before the birthday rituals!! Hehe
But todayyyy I finished enrolling into Uni, I have to wait until a bit later until I can register in classes, but I've got everything all worked out, so I'm keen as beans!!

Buttttt even more exciting things are happening. Travelling to Adelaide tomorrow AND THEN TO BALI YEH WOOOOOOOOOO!!

So I probs won't post til I get back, but I will have loads of stories!!!! I guess I should pack... oops!

Stay great!

Week 2 - Departures, reunions and more departures..

Already half way into Jan, and 2012 still hasn't disappointed!!

I returned home last night, but not before another beautiful week in Sydney! More catch ups with the family were had, and they were lovely. First afternoon tea at the Lindt Chocolat Cafe followed by dinner at the Malaysian restaurant Mamak, with my cousin Ellie Montyface. Then lunch at the Glenmore hotel in The Rocks with Fergus. It's so weird to see them so grown up, with jobs and houses, truly adultlike - makes me kind of nervous as I'll be really self dependent like them in approx. one month.....

During the week we did some more walking and exploring. We walked across the harbour bridge, not over the top, but I can now fully appreciate the length of it as it took for ever and I got burnt ;(
We also went to Luna Park!! It was pretty fun, but my sister is a sook and wouldn't go on anything, and I was feeling a bit sunstroke-ish, so could have been better, but I still enjoyed.
The night before we departed we had a lovely dinner at my aunts/uncles, then went home for our last sleep in our wikid-siq house!

After a longggg 13 hour drive we got home around 9 last night. I was reunited with Hanz and then we went to a movie night with the girls. Just seeing them, loving life, makes me realise how much I'm going to miss them when I leave :'( but coming back/them visit will be funfunfun!!!

Today I went for a yummy lunch with Hannah, before saying goodbye again as she leaves town tomorrow ;( So we got to see each other for a little while, and we will be reunited again in Feb before I leave... Again hahahaha.

Apart from that, not a lot has happened, except for my new addiction that is Temple Run. I downloaded it today because I haven't had access to good internet til now, but I'm already hooked!

Hehehehehehe....

Well that's about it!

Stay great,

Time you enjoy wasting isn't wasted time

Heeey,

Well the first week of 2012 is gone and I can't say the rest of this post is going to be an amazing read haha. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it though. I'm very glad that Hannah and I decided to do this thing so we have something to help us remember the finer details of 2012... cause honestly I'm having trouble remembering what I did last Monday... oops.

What I do know is the start of the week was filled with goodbyes- first Brim with her adventure to Syds and then Tez- it is going to be so WEIRD not seeing them at least 5 days a week.

I've spent a lot of my time at the pool this week. Its pretty amazing there these days, definitely come a long way. Kinda like it doesn't seem to belong in BH... but I'm definitely not complaining!

I even spent some of my time with watercolours making pretty pictures- that was fun haha. I've also got together a resume to find myself a nice job to get me places in my gap year :)

On Friday I attended a meeting for Active Broken Hill. I'm pretty interested in joining their committee. I was surprised at all the stuff they do for the people and organisations in Broken Hill- there are so many different things they've done to encourage healthy living, its not all sport and diets... that's probably why I'm so keen to join hahaha. (Would you hear that... starting to sound like one of them! :P) Even went down to the BDT today to have a bit of a photo shoot with the whole three members of Active Broken Hill for a story.

Soooo, I'm getting pretty keen for China... NEXT MONDAY!! So sooon! Everythings pretty much organised. Still a bit weary of how cold its going to be though... so close to North Korea and Russia, probably around -30 C... wooo!

I've spent a lot of time on "icanread" (Tumblr- even though I don't have one) and I found a perfect picture/summary of what I need to focus on in my gap year (or what I'd like to)... But I think its also important to remember that time spent being happy isn't wasted... or is it time you enjoy wasting isn't wasted time- I'm cool with both!

I think I'll leave you with that, and I guess I'll be back next week!

Have fun wasting time :D

Week 1 - Sydney Babyyyy!

Yo!

It's hard to believe that twenty twelve already has a full week under its belt, and a pretty hectic one at that. In under 36 hours of the New Year the fam and I were all packed up and headed for Sydney. We arrived late into the night on the 2nd at our amazing two/three story house an easy walk from Manly Beach. Since then we've had days jam packed full of walking, family reunions and possibly the best experience of my life!

A couple days of this week were spent exploring Manly Beach and The Spit areas, sussing out possible activities as well as getting our bearings. We've eaten at a few different places, with big meals and new things to try, which I'm finally appreciating as I will be living off plain rice as soon as I head off to Uni.

The day before yesterday we met up with my lovely Grandma on the wharf to catch up with her for a few hours and have lunch - fish and chips and greek salad, yum! Then all of us headed to my Aunt and Uncle's new house to see them and our cousins, who I haven't seen in years, for a lovely family dinner.

Moving on to yesterday, which was possibly the greatest day of my life! After a confusing drive into Darling Harbour we arrived at the PowerHouse museum, we the proceeded to make the best purchase of the trip - tickets to the Harry Potter exhibit!!!!!!!1! We had to wait until 6:30 to go through as all of the previous sessions had been sold out. In the hours leading up to it we walked around the harbour and looked through the rest of the ph museum. However my attention was def elsewhere!
Finally we got to go into the exhibit, and it did not disappoint! Just seeing original artefacts from all of the movies, ahhhh - I don't really know how to explain it - it was absolutely incredible and gave me the most amazed/impressed/satisfied feeling! Also pulling a mandrake, sitting in Hagrid's chair and tossing a quaffle were good experiences! Definitely something I will remember forever!

Today was also great! We held a lunch for my Grandma, Aunt, Uncle, one of my other cousins (who I also haven't seen in so long) and her boyf, which was a really nice gathering. We spent a good amount of time swimming, and I'm sunburnt as I have been for most of this trip, but hey - bring on the tanning ;P

But that's about it for this week, one of the more interesting ones for the year that's for sure!

New Years

Oh hey hey, Hannah and Hannah here! Happy New Years!

Quick introductions;

Hannah Licul
General plans for the year - Staying in our hometown - gap year-ing it before entering the Air Force. Chillin' and going places ;D

Hannah Brimstone
General plans for the year - Heading a 6 hour drive away, off to Uni to do something Psychology related.. Being poor and learnin' shtuff..

Well we don't really know how this blog thing works but we decided that seeing we will be separated this will act as a little momento, for ourselves, of our journeys into adultness D: ...oh and for anyone else that's interested in what we are up to!

We'll hopefully update this page every week, but we have some upcoming overseas trips and it might not always be possible. But we'll make it up by doing extra posts or if we're completely bored with life expect everyday updates... about nothing, hehe.

So it's finally 2012 and we both started off the year together with a few house parties with close friends. Adventure walks, sparklers, amazing dance moves and jelly shots made it one to remember... or not :P
Going to sleep late, waking up later; sure signs of what's to come further on in the year!

It's going to be a challenge. Getting used to not only having no school, but not having each other right there to help us through this new chapter of our lives. Thank you technology!

Well I guess that's it for now.. Brim's off to Sydney tomorrow for two weeks, and Licul's sorting out her Visa and stuff for her trip to China, so hopefully that will provide something interesting for our next posts!

Hopefully you'll follow us on our journey.. but if not we don't care cause this is really for us ;)
Until next week,
Hannah and Hannah
